As people’s expectations rise and they have so many choices in front of them, they look to delight all their senses with new consumer experiences. This is also affecting the tea category, where consumers are looking for more premium/niche and local brands compared to Lipton. Moreover, new factors such as physical wellness & emotional wellbeing or social connection are also gaining importance.
In this already challenging context, Millenials can see Tea as boring, irrelevant and often not modern. Thus, we must make tea more interesting to win over a more demanding generation that has so many options to choose from.
Lipton is aiming to launch a new range of flavoured black teas next year and you’re in charge of creating a campaign idea to promote the range. Our marketing goal is to increase penetration in the black flavoured tea segment and we want to attract Millenials to this end. How would you do it?
