An internship with will offer people an exciting time, an opportunity to really test their skills, insights into various aspects of the Netherlands, and the possibility to meet important people from different cultural backgrounds. offers internships of about six months, during which interns work on the content and the logistics of programmes for foreign visitors on official tours to the Netherlands. These visitors may be ‘Influentials’ (e.g. in politics, business or academia), High Potentials (future leaders) or journalists. These visits are organised under the banner of public diplomacy, as their aim is to generate economic activity of Dutch enterprises or to improve the image of the Netherlands abroad. Programmes last between 2 – 10 days. 

The internships are based in The Hague. However, during the official visits interns will be required to accompany delegations and stay in different hotels all over the country. Tasks and duties will be discussed in more detail further on and are partly dependent on the eagerness of the intern. needs interns all year round, but is currently looking for interns who want to start this summer. will reimburse them for their travel expenses, as well as provide remuneration amounting to 550 euros a month.

  • You must be registered as a student and have completed a bachelor’s degree.
  • You must be fluent in both English and Dutch.
  • You must have an international orientation, in your studies and/or life experiences.
  • You must have an open mind and a broad interest in what is happening in the world.
  • You must be able to engage with experts and important people from all over the world.
  • You must be eager to deal with a wide range of programme topics such as: Robotics, Logistics, Human Rights, LGBT, Sports, Agri/horticulture, Bicycle Infrastructure, Law & Democracy.
  • You must have very good organisation skills, be able to cope with stress and urgent matters, be flexible and hardworking – occasionally up to 10 hours a day. programmes will require interns to engage in a lot of content work as well as planning and organisation; this will include conceptualisation of a programme, ensuring coherence in the subject matter, logical planning of sessions, briefing Dutch speakers and organisations on key issues to share/highlight with foreign visitors, etc. Naturally, interns will be assisted in this work by experienced staff.
