How will you change banking? Find out during the HR traineeship!
At ING we know that the bank of tomorrow will be different from the bank of today. Our customers themselves are increasingly determining where and how they want to make use of our financial services. With more than 54,000 employees, ING works on creating the bank of tomorrow every day. Working in HR means that you help ING to achieve that goal. We are continuously striving to make our HR services more straightforward and more transparent for our employees. We're keen to hear your ideas for how we can do that even better and faster.
In view of digitalisation of the bank, changing customer needs and new competitors, ING operates in a rapidly evolving market. This means that the company is in a continual state of flux and our employees are playing an increasingly central role. As a result, HR makes a crucial contribution to the achievement of ING's strategic objectives. As an HR trainee you work on important HR projects that have a real impact on the company and which expose you to the very latest developments within the HR discipline. For your first project, you can choose from several options based on your personal preferences. These could relate to areas of HR such as compensation & benefits, employee development, recruitment, HR business consultancy or leadership.
It's up to you to arrange your second rotation on your own, but that's no problem for you since by then you will have built up a sizeable network and know what you want. For their second rotation, many of our trainees choose to do a project abroad.
After that, you start in your first 'real' job, which lasts for approximately two years. The aim is to further develop your knowledge and skills within a specific area of expertise within HR.
Needless to say we offer you an excellent basic salary, a 13th month, paid annual leave, an impressive training package and a permanent contract. But, above all, we offer you the chance to shape your own ideas in a receptive environment and one which helps to make banking even simpler and more transparent for our customers. Together with other (international) trainees you will participate in global events, which will enable you to quickly build up a large network. You also have the opportunity to do one of your projects abroad – because six months in the likes of Madrid, Frankfurt or Milan is not only really interesting but also good for your development.
As a trainee you receive guidance from your line manager, an HR coach and a Senior Manager in a mentor's role. They will coach you, inspire you, introduce you to their network and share their knowledge and insights with you.
