Contribute to ING's optimal service provision

The ING International Talent Programme (IITP) is a three-year Traineeship that will help you achieve your full potential, so that you can make a real difference within ING. You will be given the opportunity to learn all about ING and our business. The projects in your first year, your rotation year, will enable you to gain significant expertise and experiences in a short period of time. 

ING’s aim is to simplify the financial services that it provides to its customers. This means that you will constantly be working to improve our services (internally and externally), so that customers’ needs in the long run are served best at all times. Whether you are active in Risk, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Finance, or IT, placing the customer’s interest central is of paramount importance to you.

Training and supervision

As a Trainee, you will take part in global events such as the ING International Graduate Programme (IIGP). With your fellow trainees, you will also take part in a general and track-specific training programme. This could include: 

- personal development such as time management, presentation skills and leadership 
- professional development such as skills in the development of pitches 
- organisational development such as providing insight into strategic priorities 
- getting your CFA

HR will give you the tools and support that you need to achieve your full potential during the Traineeship. You will also receive substantive support from your Manager and you get appointed a mentor (from the senior management of ING). He or she will challenge and inspire you to achieve your maximum potential.

Directly responsible for the daily activities of Commercial Banking

There are five tracks on the IITP that you can choose to follow, one of which is the 'Commercial Banking' track. If you start as a Commercial Banking Trainee at ING, you will be involved in the daily activities of Commercial Banking from day one. You will be responsible for fulfilling a concrete assignment, such as working on the present customer portfolios together with the Relationsship Manager, or on a deal within Corporate Finance. 
After six months you will start your second assignment within Commercial Banking. Both assignments will be in lign with your preferences and help you to expand your network. Needless to say, this will benefit your development and the start after your first year at work. 

Wherever you work in the company, you will be responsible for following developments in the market and establishing a long-term relationship with our customers . You therefore have a sense of enterprise and you know what is important to our customers. You have a keen desire to optimize our services to serve our clients in their best interest. In varying teams of experts, you will continue to make considerable contributions to our Commercial Banking business.

You call the shots with respect to many aspects of the IITP programme. Based on your interests, curiosity and development needs, you can state your preferences for your first project. For your next project and first position you take the initiative. Even if it's an international adventure you want - the option is there. So, you are in charge of how your IITP is designed!

Interesting employee benefits package

In addition to an excellent basic salary, a 13th month's salary and a permanent contract, as a Trainee at ING you will be entitled to:

Ambitious starters with a Master

To help ING further develop, you have:

- a Master degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Investment & Financing or a Technical study 
- a maximum of two years work experience 
- an excellent written and spoken knowledge of both Dutch and English

You also have an eye for what customers need in the long term. A critical and analytical perspective ensure that you formulate the best possible solution in every project.
