Here at Philips hue we are re-inventing light. Hue is one of the most innovative lighting systems in years. Hue is internet connected lighting which you can control by your smart device.
We’re looking for a pro-active intern who becomes a part of our Marketing team. You’ll get to learn about every aspect in international Marketing and Communications.
Your responsibilities
- The internship assignment depends on your capabilities and your interests. If you’re fluent in English and you are the pro-active marketeer we’re looking for then we need to meet each other and decide upon the exact assignment(s).
- You will be working on several challenges that we have within the department such as Digital, Social Media, Point of sales, e-commerce etc.
- This internship is challenging. There is quite some workload and you need to be very flexible and creative. And above all; a quick learner. But in return you’ll bring home a great experience which looks impressive on your CV.
You are within the Global hue Marketing and Communications department. Within the team, the following tasks are handled:
- Online marketing (website and social media)
- E-commerce
- Product launches
- Point of sales (POS)
- Events
The team consists of 5 people, reporting to the Head of Marketing & Marketing Communications. The different local markets locally are your main stakeholders.
We offer the possibility to write your thesis but for us the most important is that you quickly become a full member of the team. We offer you the possibility to be part of an innovative and international team. You’ll learn about nearly every aspect of marketing there is.
- This internship is suitable for a graduation thesis
- Duration: between 5 and 12 months
- We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, not later than November 2014
Internship conditions:
- Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
- A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
- A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
- The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
- Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)
To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:
- Currently studying towards your Bachelor HBO (BBA) / Bachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
- Marketing
- Communications
- Advertising
- (International) Business Management
- Public Relations
- Fluent in English
- Quick learner
- Savvy with social and digital media
- It’s preferred that you’ve had previous experience in an international working environment
- We prefer that you have some affinity with technique as hue is a technical product.
