Job Description

You will get a unique overview of the way of working within Controlling/Finance function within Innovation and Strategy, including interface with different functions (R&D/Markets/Operation/HRM/Infosys/etc.) in the business. You will be part of the Business Group Emerging Business Finance Business Partner team. Finally yet importantly, you will be challenged to learn, grow and excel.

Your responsibilities

  • Assist the BG EB Finance team in month end closing processes, preparing Journal vouchers, and department costs analysis, etc.
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly reporting preparations
  • Improve and transfer business process and activities to Infosys – Finance
  • Analysis and Support on R&D project reporting
  • Further support, optimize existing procedure, and participate in improvement projects.

Within Philips Healthcare, the Business Group Emerging Business (BG EB) is the fastest growing, most innovative business Group. BG Emerging Business will accelerate Emerging Healthcare Innovation at Philips and develop integrated solutions in Oncology Diagnostics, Point of Care Diagnostics, Photo Dermatology and Neuro & Cognitive Health.

BG EB Finance team consists of a small team of international people, with in-depth knowledge of business processes, accounting and controlling.

Our offer

  • This is a non-thesis position
  • Duration: 6-12 months
  • Available as soon as possible, but no later than May 2017.

Internship conditions:

  • Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
  • A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
  • A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
  • The student is entitled to paid leave based on 1 day per month.
  • Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop).

We are looking for

Students that are currently in their graduate year for a Master of Science in the following fields:

  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Business Economics
  • Economics
  • Information Management
  • Data Analysis

Furthermore we require students to comply to the following requirements:

  • Native or professional proficiency in English (C1/C2)
  • Office: (Excel/PPT/Word); preferable SAP
  • Previous internship experience in a similar field is preferable
